Lok Sewa Aayog
The Lok Sewa Aayog is a competitive exam held by the Nepalese government to find qualified applicants for positions in the country's public services, such as the Ministries, Offices, Hospitals, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and so on.
The purpose of the Lok Sewa Aayog, Public Service Commission (PSC) Nepal, is to appoint government workers to various civil service posts. It was founded on 2008/03/01 B.S. The Lok Sewa Aayog's headquarters is in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, Nepal. The Commission has been working on choosing qualified applicants for the civil service since its formation.
According to the Nepalese Constitution, the Lok Sewa Aayog is responsible for filling positions in the civil service, army, police, and other federal government agencies.
Nepal's 2072 Part 22 Constitution recognizes the commission as an independent constitutional entity. The Lok Sewa Aayog is regarded as doing fair and reliable hiring.

Lok Sewa Aayog: Composition
There will be a Lok Sewa Aayog Nepal, according to Article 125 of the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2007. A Chairman and any other Members are part of the Commission. The PSC chairman and members are chosen for six years. On the same grounds and according to the same procedures as those outlined for the dismissal of a Supreme Court judge, the Chairman and members may be removed from their positions.
The Commission's meetings are presided over by the Chairperson, who oversees the members' work assignments and sets policy. The Executive Chief of the Secretariat of the Commission is a Gazetted Special Category Secretary.

Eligibility Criteria For Joining Lok Sewa Aayog
To take the Lok Sewa Aayog Examination, you must be a citizen of Nepal and meet the requirements listed below.
- Must have Nepali Citizenship
- Must be 18 years old for non-gazetted positions and 21 years old for gazetted ranks.
- The maximum age limit for men who are neither non-gazetted nor gazetted is 35; however, the maximum age limit for women and physically challenged people is 40.
- Kharidar's position requires SEE/SLC, Nayab Subba requires an Intermediate, and Section Officer requires a bachelor's degree, respectively.
- They should not have been fired from government employment previously.
- Should not be guilty in any criminal case involving moral turpitude
Lok Sewa Aayog: Purpose, duties, and power
- The primary purpose of Lok Sewa Aayog is to hold exams to choose the best candidates for appointments to various civil service positions.
- No permanent appointment to a public service position with a pension benefit may be made without first consulting the Lok Sewa Aayog.
- According to the Constitution, Lok Sewa Aayog's additional responsibilities, tasks, and working methods are governed by law.
- Lok Sewa Aayog is required to give the President an annual report on the job it has done. The President will use the Prime Minister to submit this report to the Legislature-Parliament.
In addition to these tasks and obligations, the Lok Sewa Aayog is to be consulted on the following issues:
- Concerning the general principles to be followed in the advancement of the Nepal Army, the Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force of Nepal, and other federal government agencies;
- Concerning the legislation governing the working conditions of workers in an organized organization, as well as the basic principles to be followed in the promotion and departmental activity of such service;
- Concerning the statute governing federal civil service conditions;
- Concerning the principles to be followed in Federal Civil Service or position appointment, promotion, and departmental action;
- On the candidate's fitness when assigned to a Federal Civil Service job for a term of more than six months;
- Candidate's fitness for transfer or promotion from one kind of Federal Civil Service to another, or from other government services to Federal Civil Service, or from any State Civil Service to Federal Civil Service, or from Federal Civil Service to State Civil Service Subject;
- In the event of a permanent transfer or promotion to a position where the employee is exempt from consulting the Public Service Commission;
- and If the federal civil service employees are to receive departmental discipline.
Lok Sewa Aayog: Selection Process
The Lok Sewa Aayog conducts examinations to choose applicants per the Public Public Service Commission (Procedure) Act, 2066 B.S., utilizing one or more of the following techniques of selection:
- Open Competitive Written Examination
- Open Competitive practical Examination
- Interview phase
- Any additional procedures that the Commission may choose.
To carry out the selection process, the Lok Sewa Aayog publishes vacancy notices in its weekly bulletins, which are published every Wednesday, as well as in the national daily "Gorkhapatra."
The Lok Sewa Aayog has also adopted a yearly operational timetable for its activities, which contains all of the intricacies of the phases of the selection process.
The commission has implemented a "multi-blindness" system to ensure fairness and impartiality in the selection process, in which the setting and moderation of questions, the checking of answer sheets, the conduct of interviews, and the results of written examinations and interviews are all carried out in such a way that officials involved remain anonymous to one another.

If there is a civil service position in the Gazetted post for an appointment following the final selection of the candidate through an open competition, it is provided to recommend to the Ministry of General Administration and the organization providing such service. A candidate should be recommended first if they choose to fill the same role.
A copy of the concerned candidate's application form and copies of the supporting certificates must be sent with the letter of recommendation for an appointment to the appropriate authority.

Lok Sewa Aayog: Structure of Exam
Essentially, there are two written phases and one practical/interview phase to the Loksewa civil service exam. You will be tested during these phases regarding your knowledge, social, computer, and mental abilities. To have a chance of being admitted, you must do well in each section.
The General Knowledge and General Mental Ability Tests are being taken here. The test consists of multiple-choice questions and is rated out of 100. There are 50 MCQs in all, each earning two points. You have 45 minutes to complete the exam and must receive 40 points to pass. Level 1 GK questions, Level 2 GK questions, and GMAT questions comprise the paper's three sections. Phases 2 and 3
