GMAT 2023 Exam: Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Fees, Syllabus, Pattern, Preparation, Result & Score

The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test that assesses a candidate's verbal, quantitative, analytical writing, and reading skills using written English as a standard.

The GMAT exam costs $275 US dollars to take. Anywhere in the world, admission to a top business school's graduate management program, such as an MBA or Master's in Finance, requires passing this exam.

Since April 16, 2018, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has cut the duration of the GMAT exam 2022 by 30 minutes. The test lasts around three to thirty minutes, counting breaks and test instructions.

The time allotted for the Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning sections was reduced by 13 and 10 minutes, respectively. The integrated reasoning and analytical writing evaluation, the score preview, and the optional break period remained unchanged.

The GMAC has eliminated only the unscored items, so these changes do not affect scoring in the shorter Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative portions.

A component of the GMAT gives applicants the freedom to personalize their GMAT experience by selecting the sectional sequence in which they feel most at ease taking the test.

This article covers everything about the GMAT, including what it covers, who is qualified to take it, how to sign up, the format of the test, and more.
